"Restoration" Kintsugi Collection #3

$250.00

This painting reflects on the healing power of forgiveness. In a perfect world, all bridges would be safe and never be broken, but in our humanity that is not our reality. We cannot change what was, nor build anew without forgiveness. Forgiveness is a truly a gift, from Christ to us, from us to ourselves and to the person who made the mistake. So often, we walk away after escaping the burning bridge of betrayal or light the fire, ourselves. Forgiveness is possible without further harm, with boundaries and acceptance. My personal journey is reflected here, as the bridge is between 2 Dogwood trees that embrace the visible gold leaf, emphasizing the wounds of deceit, scars that are wrapped in forgiveness and new life, (the dogwoods) that makes the boundary safe and strong. Then, you can decide how far you will cross the bridge, knowing it’s there to support you, and you will not fall. Or that you can leave it as a testament to Christ’s forgiveness and move on to the next mountain to climb. I hope this painting gives you hope and a sense of peace. It’s one of my favorites.
